DEBURRING MACHINE
Deburrs stampings, pressings, sawed edges, or parts produced on a cnc machining center.
McKechnie Viburr Model 2016 E, with steel construction is extremely well insulated against sound. With the top in place, you can hold a normal conversation while standing right next to this machine. Note the wheels for easy movement.
Here are some of the parts that can be deburred. Stampings usually take about 5 (five) minutes, machined parts take about 20 minutes. To clean the parts and to lubricate them while deburring, a small stream of water is supplied at the top of this tub. This water is constantly recirculated through the tub in a totally self-contained system.
When the motor is running and vibrating the mass at 2700+ rpm, , the entire mass of media (stones) and parts slowly rotates toward the back and then slides down the front. This rotation takes place about every 5 (five) seconds, allowing finished parts to be quickly removed simply by hand.
The eccentric weight rotates at 2700 revolutions per minute, making this machine extremely efficient. Forty centimeters depth of the tub provides extreme pressure on parts for deburring much faster than would be possible on shallower machines.
CE compliant machines contain a main safety switch as well as a separate pump switch. This machine is the simplest imaginable. No adjustments are possible nor necessary. To operate, turn on the switch. period.
The hinged steel door opens for access to the compound tank on the left, and its blue/green submersible pump, shown just in front of the main drive motor. In operation the submersible pump sits on a raised ledge inside the rectangular compound tank, and pumps cleansing water to cover the vibrating abrasive stones in the tub above. Please notice the wheels for easy movement throughout the factory.
Coolant (compound) drains down from the vibrating tub into the rectangular 12 liter settling tank, and fresh coolant is then automatically pumped back up into the tub above.McKechnie International can supply nearly all types and shapes and sizes of media. The most common shape is a cylinder with its ends cut at an angle. Just avoid using media close to the size of the holes in the parts, or the media will stick in these holes.

This photo shows 3 major features of the Viburr 2016-E: On the left, hinged door for easy access to the coolant tank. At the bottom, swivel wheels for easy movement around the factory. In the center, easily removable large diameter plug for easy unloading of media or parts.
The large diameter plug is quickly fixed into place by hand tightening. Notice the wheels for portability. Electricity is 230 volt single phase 50 Hz, so you can plug it in almost anywhere. \
Whenever desired, completely changing the media takes only a few minutes through this large diameter unloading port.
The vibratory motion causes the media to drop through the discharge port when it's open.
Here is an aid to parts separation. Place this Model 202-E just in front of the unloading port, and turn on the power to both machines. Media and parts drop on the screen, and media drops through the screen while parts run out through the chute on the right. All is done through the vibrating motions of the two machines.
In front of the discharge chute is an optional vibrating power separator, Model 202 E, which drops the media through a screen to a pan beneath the screen, while the deburred parts slide down into a waiting tote pan in the foreground.
Here 3 model 2016-E deburring machines are positioned around one Model 202-E separator. Individually each deburring machine can empty its contents onto the vibrating screen, whenever the operator wishes to separate parts from the media. This method works best when parts are very small and numerous. Otherwise, larger parts are usually easily removed from the top of the tub by hand.
Caster wheels and single phase electrics make the Viburr easy to relocate any place on the shop floor, where it fits perfectly into the manufacturing cycle. With the cover on the top, two persons can easily hold a normal conversation in a normal voice standing alongside the operating machine.
